Watermelon-Mint Margarita: A Fresh Summer Cocktail
Fresh, hydrating, and unmistakably summer. The margarita your patio table has been waiting for.
Ingredients
- 2 oz blanco tequila
- 3 oz fresh watermelon juice (about 1 cup cubed watermelon, blended and strained)
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz agave syrup
- 6 to 8 fresh mint leaves
- Tajín-salt rim
- Watermelon wedge and mint sprig, for garnish
Instructions
- Rim a rocks glass with lime juice and dip into a Tajín-salt mixture.
- In a shaker, muddle mint leaves gently.
- Add tequila, watermelon juice, lime juice, agave, and ice.
- Shake vigorously for 10 seconds and strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
- Garnish with a watermelon wedge and mint sprig.
Why It’s Better
Real watermelon juice replaces the syrupy mixers in most poolside cocktails, delivering natural sweetness and built-in hydration. Mint adds a cooling lift that keeps this margarita lighter than it drinks.
