Watermelon-Mint Margarita: A Fresh Summer Cocktail

Fresh, hydrating, and unmistakably summer. The margarita your patio table has been waiting for.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 3 oz fresh watermelon juice (about 1 cup cubed watermelon, blended and strained)
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz agave syrup
  • 6 to 8 fresh mint leaves
  • Tajín-salt rim
  • Watermelon wedge and mint sprig, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rim a rocks glass with lime juice and dip into a Tajín-salt mixture.
  2. In a shaker, muddle mint leaves gently.
  3. Add tequila, watermelon juice, lime juice, agave, and ice.
  4. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds and strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
  5. Garnish with a watermelon wedge and mint sprig.

Why It’s Better

Real watermelon juice replaces the syrupy mixers in most poolside cocktails, delivering natural sweetness and built-in hydration. Mint adds a cooling lift that keeps this margarita lighter than it drinks.
